The alignment of the pumps is very simple performed by a specialized device KVANT-LM, developed and manufactured by BALTECH. Given that our country "lives" through the production and sale of oil and gas, pumps are a very common unit. Pumps of all kinds (dynamic and volumetric) usually have a drive, electric motor or internal combustion engine, in rare cases a turbine with a gearbox. Depending on the pump version, its manufacturer indicates tolerances for centering and other parameters in the installation (operation) instructions. According to the internal statistics of the technical service department of BALTECH, pumps with a frequency of 50 Hz (3000 rpm) are most common, the drive is a soft-start or frequency-drive electric motor.
It is very important to consider the following factors before centering the pumps:
- condition of the foundation and anchor bolts,
- the presence of squeezing bolts,
- moments of fasteners fasteners,
- control of the pump and drive fasteners,
- type of coupling,
- the effect of piping and the presence of compensators (bellows),
- type of bearings installed,
- thermal and other correction factors ( for example, surfacing on an oil wedge).
For example, a change in the geometry of the frame (foundation) can lead to a change in the angular misalignment, and the heating of the motor housing can lead to a change in the parallel displacement.
According to the recommended international tolerances for centering, these pumps are recommended to be centered with a tolerance: angular misalignment of no more than 0. 07 mm / 100 mm and parallel displacement of no more than 0. 07 mm. Domestic industry standards for centering pumps of oil producing companies are even tougher and, depending on the type of coupling, are: angular misalignment of 0. 03-0. 05 mm / 100 mm and parallel displacement of not more than 0. 03-0. 05 mm. When analyzing the long-term statistics of the control of centering main and supporting pumps (70% of the pumps are different units of trans oil companies) at different ambient temperatures in the “hot” and “cold” condition, it turned out that the actual accuracy of the centering of the pumps can reach: 0. 15 misalignment mm / 100mm and parallel offset 0. 15mm and higher. Such a misalignment is not always possible to identify in the process of vibrodiagnostics and other methods of non-destructive testing, therefore, the alignment control of main and supporting pumps should be carried out at least once every three months.
